Havana Club pays tribute to excellence with new rum Tributo 2025

Tributo 2025, the new rum from Havana Club's iconic collection, is the perfect representation of the know-how of Cuban rum, of this Cuban culture, of this excellence that exists in the world of rum and the brand's way of producing it, said Cristian Barré, General Manager of Havana Club International S.A.

IMG-20250205-WA0064.jpgIn a press conference held this Wednesday at the Havana Club Rum Museum on the occasion of the presentation of Tribute 2025, Barré added that the eighth edition of Tributo is the result of collaboration with the Midleton distillery in Cork, Ireland, a producer of whiskey that combines the richness of Cuban rum and the depth of Irish rum.

Havana Club’s new offering, limited to 2,967 individually numbered bottles available worldwide, offers an exclusive experience for spirits connoisseurs, aficionados and collectors alike. It is also a Prestige expression that pushes the boundaries of the premium rum category, offering a unique tasting experience. Since its creation in 2016, the Tribute Collection has honored Cuba’s rich rum heritage and culture, highlighting the unique character of the finest and oldest Havana Club rum reserves.

As part of the prestigious Iconic Collection, the pinnacle of extra-aged rums in Havana Club’s Prestige range, Tributo 2025 continues this legacy, as each limited edition is aged under the watchful eye of the Maestros, whose mastery of successive aging and blending techniques creates a rum of extraordinary complexity. The unique alliance between Havana Club and Midleton de Cork, made possible by Pernod Ricard’s shared network, has resulted in a harmonious expression that combines Havana Club’s smooth Cuban profile with the layered richness of Irish whiskey.

The influence of the Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey casks gives the blend remarkable character and mystery. Warm aromas of vanilla, dried fruit and subtle sherry notes invite indulgent exploration. The palate unfolds silky layers of candied orange, fruitcake and fried banana, delicately balanced with spicy nuances and toasted oak. The finish is long and pronounced, revealing notes of raisins and red berries for an elegant conclusion.

IMG-20250205-WA0066.jpgFor Asbel Morales, Master of Cuban Rum, “Tributo 2025 is a celebration of Havana Club’s pioneering approach to blending and continuous aging, an art we have perfected over generations of Cuban Rum Masters, redefining the mastery of Cuban rum making.” By finishing this rum in Redbreast whiskey casks, he added, we introduce a new dimension to our craft, bringing together the best of Cuban rum and Irish whiskey traditions to create a truly extraordinary expression.

Also present at the press conference were Amed Álvarez, Director of Communications and Marketing at Havana Club, Asbel Morales, Master of Cuban Rum, and the national and foreign press accredited in Cuba. Havana Club Tributo 2025 will be available in Cuba from February 6 and in 20 international markets from next April.

Created in November, 1993 by the Cuban company Cuba Ron S.A., responsible for rum production, and the French Pernod Ricard Group, with the aim of developing the brand on an international scale through the French entity's solid international distribution network, Havana Club International is the third largest rum brand in the world and a world leader in super premium and superior spirits.

Havana Club exports its rums to more than 125 countries around the world (excluding the USA, where Cuban products are banned due to the trade embargo). Its main export markets are Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) and in America (Mexico, Canada, Chile and Argentina) and its sales achieved an 8% growth in value during the 2024 fiscal year.
