"Santiago de Cuba, the first in Ibero-America" is the title of the documentary released this Tuesday on the YouTube platform (https://youtu.be/wWC1-skRDC0) that honors that city in eastern Cuba, the first to be part of the Network of Musical Reference Cities of Ibero-America.
According to a press release from the Latin Institute of Music (ILM), over 16 minutes, the imprint of that institution is covered, in the figure of its president, Daniel Martín Subiaut, in the eastern town, where he stayed. unveiled the plaque that, before the world, served as support for the subsequent declaration as Creative Music City, by UNESCO.
Produced by the municipal direction of culture of Santiago de Cuba and directed by David Hernández (LCA Producciones), the audiovisual has the participation of important exponents of the art of the largest of the Antilles such as the Septeto Santiaguero, the Conga de Los Hoyos, Enrique Bonne, in addition to Omar López (Conservator of the City of Santiago de Cuba) and personalities from the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), the Recordings and Musical Editions company (EGREM) and the local government. This magnificent documentary will soon have its premiere on Cuban television, as well as on the giant screens of the well-known Enramada street, in that Cuban city.
