Canada establishes itself as the first source of vacationers to Cuba, while the second position belongs to Cubans residing abroad, followed by the Federation of Russia, the United States, Germany, Mexico, France, Spain, Argentina and Italy, according to a report published by the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI).
Until last June, Cuba received 1,680,485 travelers, 101.1 percent compared to same period of the previous year, of which one million 309 thousand 836 correspond to international visitors, about 11,300 more than in 2023. According to information from the ONEI, published by the local press, in the past three months there was a decrease in international visitors arriving in the country.
However, there was a recovery compared to previous years. Travelers are considered those who travel between two or more countries, and International visitors are those who arrive in a nation different from the one in which they usually live, explains the ONEI.
