GEIQ (Chemical Industry Business Group), created on April 27, 2005, represents a sector with a high rate of raising added value to products and in interlinking with other industrial activities, being highly complex due to the diversity of its productions and the technologies that characterize it. It has a great impact on tourism and the sugar and non-sugar agroindustries, pharmaceuticals, hydraulic resources, construction and light industry.
With more than 15 years of experience, this industry encompasses eight industrial activities: Industrial and Medicinal Gases, Chlorine-Caustic Soda and its derivatives, Fertilizers, Rubber, Glass, Paper, Pesticides and Sulfuric Acid. The OSDE (Higher Organization of Business Management) is composed of 17 companies, 14 of these national and three mixed. It has a service provider, a trading company, a research center and an import-export company, which offer a variety of products and services associated with the chemical industry, with a committed and constantly improving highly professional group.
GEIQ has a development program whose implementation will allow technological modernization and a gradual replacement of the high volume of imported basic goods for the development of other industries and consumption by the population.
