Cuba announced this Friday the holding of the III International Transport and Logistics Fair, FITL 2025, from April 1 to 3 at the Pabexpo fairgrounds.
At a press conference, the Vice Minister of Transport, Marcos Bermúdez, explained that this edition will bring together important national and international actors in transport and logistics, and will continue the results of the previous fair.
At the same time, it will serve as an ideal framework to consolidate existing projects, negotiate new proposals and identify opportunities in the transport sector.
Among the areas of interest, he said, are the advantages of the new vehicle marketing policy, as well as the sustainable development of transport and logistics for the benefit of the population and the successful performance of the economy.
During the event, topics such as sustainable passenger and cargo mobility; the modernization of means of transport and infrastructure; the energy transition in transport and the efficiency of supply chains and logistics will be addressed.
He added that there will also be a space for digital transformation and new technologies associated with services.
FITL 2025 aims to encourage development and alliances between the different actors in the economy; promote foreign direct investment and boost international cooperation, while stimulating the participation of Cubans living abroad.
In addition, it will seek to attract financing for the development of infrastructure and expand supply and spare parts networks; contribute to the modernization of the national industry, improve the country's logistics performance, as well as share experiences and good practices in transportation and logistics.
Bermúdez highlighted that among the FITL activities are the presentation of the foreign investment portfolio and international cooperation projects; specialized business rounds and conferences and panels for the professional exchange of experts on different topics.
