Without a doubt, one of the most enduring anthems of Cuban popular music is “Cienfuegos,” composed by the iconic musician Benny Moré, widely regarded as one of the greatest figures in the island’s musical history.

It is fitting, then, that in this beautiful city—famously known as the “Pearl of the South”—stands the Benny Moré Cultural House (Casa de la Cultura Benny Moré), a center built to pay tribute to the legendary artist affectionately remembered as El Bárbaro del Ritmo (The Master of Rhythm).
