13th Edition of the Nature Tourism Event (Turnat 2022) Inaugurated.

With the presence of Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, the Minister of Tourism (Mintur), Juan Carlos García Granda, it was inaugurated this Tuesday the 13th Turnat 2022 that will develop until next day 24.
In welcoming the participants, García Granda stressed the importance of this meeting that takes place after a two-year break due to the pandemic but which will contribute to the recovery of tourism in the country.
For his part, Marrero Cruz, said Cuba has a wonderful nature, but also has historical and cultural values that make this a privileged destination. Speaking at the inauguration, Raúl Naranjo, CEO of Ecotur, travel agency that organizes the event, together with Viajes Cuba, said this edition, in addition to promoting nature and adventure tourism, will also promote reflection, exchange and the approach to models of the new stage of the recovery of the sector.
Turnat 2022 will also include in its program agrotourism that promotes visitor not only to have contact with nature, but also with the communities, their environment, customs and gastronomy, as well as delve into accessible tourism, a modality in which Ecotur is already working.
On the opening day of this meeting, which includes the participation of travel agencies, tour operators, businessmen and professionals linked to the sector from 19 countries, was also attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Pérez, the Governor of Havana, Reynaldo García Zapata, commander of the Revolution Guillermo García and other officials of the Cuban state, as well as Diego J. González, President of the Spanish Network of Accessible Tourism.
